HOW TO GET TO COSTA DA CAPARICA?
Car
Costa da Caparica is easily accessible by car after taking the A2 motorway from the center to the south of Lisbon, and after crossing the bridge, turn right at the first exit and take the IC 20 to Costa da Caparica which is only 20 minutes from the city center.
Bus
For those who don’t have a car, public transport allows you to get to the surf spots. The lines 3709 departing from Marquês do Pombal and 3710 departing from Sete Rios take you directly from the center of Lisbon to Costa da Caparica, with a few stops along the way.
Train
Take the train to Sete Rios, cross the Tejo bridge, exit at Pragal in 11 minutes. From the Roma-Areeiro station, on Avenida Roma, the train takes 17 minutes, and from Campolide, only 8 minutes.
Once in Pragal, already south of Lisbon, there is a direct bus to Costa da Caparica.

The total duration of the trip is between 40 and 1 hour, depending on the departure station.
Boat
Two options are available to you: Cais do Sodré and Belém
From Cais do Sodré to Cacilhas
Departures from Cais do Sodré are regular during the week. In 10 minutes you have a boat. On weekends and public holidays there are approximately three journeys per hour in each direction (see timetable).
From Cacilhas to Costa da Caparica
3011 – Cacilhas – Costa da Caparica (34 minutes)
From Belém to Trafaria
On working days, there is approximately one departure per hour from Belém (see timetable). On this ferry, it is possible to come with your car or motorbike.
From Trafaria to Costa da Caparica
3030 – Monte da Caparica (FCT) – Fonte da Telha (15 minutes to Costa da Caparica and 30 minutes to Fonte da Telha)
